1. Website: The website for the committee is about to be completed. This should
be up during the Spring 2008. The website content is currently being developed.

2. Annual Conference: We plan on working with the organizers of the EMBC
meeting (for the earliest possible meeting) to define a Theme based on “Micro
and nanoscale technologies for biomedical applications”.

3. BioMEMS Symposium: We are in discussion with the organizers of the North
East Bioengineering Conference (Boston, 2008) on organizing a session on
BioMEMS.

4. Publications: We are planning a special issue on therapeutic applications of
BioMEMS on either an IEEE journal or a biomedical engineering journal such as
Biomaterials or Tissue engineering.
